The Century Refrigeration WIBR Series unit cooler, WIBR418A-270, is designed for “in between the rails” COMDUSTRIAL type applications to meet your refrigeration needs. The WIBR Series features a draw-through design with air discharging vertically into a “V” air diffuser, which directs airflow horizontally from the unit. The WIBR Series is designed to be ceiling mounted.

 

The WIBR Series units can be equipped with CENTURY.CONNECT, our comprehensive remote monitoring package, allowing you to access your operational controls from anywhere in the world—simply find a signal on your handheld or laptop device.

Cabinet Construction:

  • Heavy-gauge, rust-proof aluminum housing with a smooth finish
  • Corrosion-resistant hardware
  • Fully die-formed venturis to minimize noise and maximize airflow

Coil Construction:

  • Copper tubing
  • Full-collared die-formed aluminum plate fins and tube sheets (available in other materials upon request)
  • Tubes mechanically expanded into the fin pack for maximum heat transfer
  • Solder type distributors with removeable nozzles sized for the specified refrigerant and temperature range
  • Coils tested underwater at 350 PSIG
  • All coils require an external equalized expansion valve
  • WIBR Series unit cooler coils are engineered to utilize multiple refrigerants (Refrigerant type must be specified when ordering)

Fan Motors:

  • Heavy duty, high-efficiency, full ball bearing design
  • Permanently lubricated for reduced maintenance
  • Suitable for low-temperature applications
  • Internally thermal protected
  • Pre-wired to terminal blocks in the unit’s end panel
  • Suitable for single-point group fusing

Fan Blades:

  • Fiberglass reinforced polypropylene blades with steel hubs
  • Statically and dynamically balanced for smooth operation
  • Selected for maximum airflow

Defrost Designs:

  • Air Defrost: Suited for applications of +35°F room temperature and higher.
    • Available with 4, 5, or 6 fins per inch arrangements
  • Electric Defrost: Suited for room temperature applications below +35°F. Operational design down to -40°F saturated suction temperature.
    • Available with 4 or 6 fins per inch arrangements
    • Low-watt density heaters internally housed in the coil for rapid and efficient defrost
    • Heaters are pre-wired terminal blocks in the unit’s end panel
    • Drain pan heaters help provide fast and reliable condensate drainage
    • Standard heated and insulated drain pan
    • Adjustable defrost termination/fan delay switch
  • Hot Gas Defrost: Suited for room temperature applications below +35°F. Operational design down to -40°F saturated suction temperature.
    • Available with 4 or 6 fins per inch arrangements
    • Auxiliary side port connection on the distributor for hot gas connection
    • One ship-loose check valve for TXV bypass
    • Hot gas loop in the drain pan aids in fast and reliable condensate drainage
    • Standard insulated drain pan
    • Adjustable defrost termination/fan delay switch

Air Throw:

  • 25 feet to 30 feet air throw from each side of the unit at a 20-foot ceiling height (application dependent)
  • Extended air throw distances available with optional nozzles

  • DOE Compliant, ETL Listed, NSF Certified
